  • "The Dutch website should say 'It's the loveliest place in the middle of the wilderness with great host Taffy, who is like Elfje en gnoom inviting you into fairytale land that looks like the garden of eden!!!' ...I must say I miss you!!!!!!!!! And our talks and the lovely atmosphere that made me feel so at home and appreciated!"  Irene, (Holland), by email - 2004

"...There can be few employees in such remote surroundings that eat so well! The constant list of mechanical jobs in the afternoons with the freedom of the workshop, followed by a drink with Taffy outside the kitchen reviewing various parts of the day, better ways of fixing broken ‘things’ and putting the world to rights - I really enjoyed working with Taffy, his firm inner thoughts and views manifested in that very charismatic and compassionate manner that induces a real desire to please....But it was more than the specific parts of the day that I found so pleasing; it is difficult to describe exactly what the magic factor was. I think it was partly due to the eternal bright light and warmth - coming from England naturally makes a huge change. The relative freedom to complete the various tasks in whatever manner we felt best, but above all, I think it revolved around the mutual understanding I felt with Taffy".   Charles, (England), by email - 2003

"Wow, it was so nice to to see the pictures of Mount Hart last night, it brought back many memories. It really were some of the best times I ever had!"  Willemien, (Holland), by email, 2004 (here in 2000)

"Hi Taffy as more pictures i look more and more I think about my memories from Mt Hart, I miss it really! I come back one day." Heike, (Germany) by email, 2005
