    Mt Hart is looking for individuals to fill the following positions in 2011;
  •  Cook
  • Mt Hart is seeking a competent cook who is passionate, creative and motivated.
  • Preferably cooks with;
    Experience working in the tourist/hospitality industry
    - Experience working & living in a country environment
    - Experience carrying out the cooking of breakfasts, including baking bread
    - The ability to plan, prepare and cook 3 course buffet dinners of high quality, for up to 34 guests.
  • The ability to prepare bar lunches, picnic lunches, and platters.
    - The ability to supervise, and co-ordinate the running of the kitchen

    * Housekeepers & General Assistants

    Mt Hart is seeking reliable and experienced individuals who are hardworking and good at performing housekeeping and general hospitality work. You need to be friendly, and self-motivated with a good work ethic, and be prepared to assist other employees wherever necessary around the station.
     
    Preferably people with the ability to;
    - perform general cleaning and laundry duties for up to 14 rooms in the main guest lodges.
    - perform general cleaning of the bar area, office, hallways and sitting rooms within the main guest lodges.
    - perform waitressing, kitchen hand & bar duties   
    - Greet and meet guests
    * Maintenance Worker/Mechanic
     
    The ideal candidate would need to have the ability to:
    - Complete general yard work duties such as gardening, plumbing, building, repairs and maintenance 
    - Do mechanical work on vehicles and machinery

    * Campground Caretakers

    Mt Hart is also seeking a retired/mature aged person or couple who would be interested in caretaking our campground. Ideally suited to people who love the outdoors and have their own campervan travelling up North. Daily jobs include cleaning the campsite ammenity block, collecting camp fees, chopping fire wood, and turning on sprinklers.
     


  • We also accept Wwoofers, or volunteers - who in exchange for food and accommodation,  give 4 to 6 hours of their time per day to help us with various jobs around the homesteads and gardens.  We accept volunteers for a minimum two week stay.

    Whether in paid employment, or as a volunteer, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience the Real Outback, working for a friendly employer in a beautiful and remote location.
