Mt Hart Home / About Mt Hart / Temperature

  • Kimberley Temperatures and Mt Hart Climate.

    • Mid April till mid May - Warm and still slightly humid.
    • Mid May till August - The coolest and most comfortable time to see the Kimberley, with daytime temperatures hovering around 28 to 30°C, and night time temperatures cool to cold, with a minimum at Mt Hart of down to 3°C.  You will need to bring warm clothes as the temperature can drop very quickly in the evening.  The middle of the Dry Season also brings low humidity.
    • September and the first half of October Can reach up to 35 degrees during the day and cool to warm at night. (Seven of our rooms are now air-conditioned).
    • Late October till April is not recommened for travel along the Gibb River Road.  Daytime tempertures can reach up to 43°C, with night-time temperatures often in the high twenties.  At this time of year, in the "Build-up", the increase in humidity can also make travel very uncomfortable.  Storms, heavy rains, cyclones and bushfires also occur from Late October-Early April.
