Mt Hart is part of the Ibis Aerial Highway, a network of airstrips located at remote communities, homesteads, national parks and other places of interests to facilitate air access and travel throughout the region. Many locations have connections to local ground transport and tour operations, allowing easy access for visitors touring the remote areas and attractions.
In addition, Australia Post's North Kimberley Mail Run currently managed by "Golden Eagle Airlines" carries passengers when space allows. The mail run operates once a week, on a Thursday, servicing nine stations around the Kimberley (not all of whom take guests). Please ensure that you have an accommodation booking before booking a seat on the mail plane. Contact Derby Visitor Centre for information on booking this service.
If you only have limited time, we have suggested three short self-drive itineraries, Broome to Broome.
